Are volunteers covered by insurance?

Unfortunately, volunteers are not covered by personal insurance through LHA. We therefore strongly encourage all volunteers to ensure they have appropriate personal arrangements in place where needed, including travel, medical, or personal belongings insurance depending on their individual circumstances.

LHA will always do its best to provide a safe and supportive environment for both volunteers and residents, and volunteers will receive guidance around hostel procedures, health and safety, and expectations during their induction.
