Can I choose which hostel I volunteer at?

Yes. During the application process, you will be asked which hostel or hostels you are interested in volunteering at, and we will always do our best to honour your preferences.

However, to help increase the chances of finding a suitable opportunity more quickly, we may also discuss opportunities at other LHA hostels. Some hostels have very small volunteer teams and vacancies may arise infrequently, meaning waiting times can sometimes be longer for specific locations.

Applicants who are open to multiple hostels may find that opportunities become available sooner. Ultimately, any placement would always be discussed with you before being arranged.
