Can I store personal belongings safely?

We would certainly hope that there will never be any issues with personal belongings during your stay. LHA aims to provide a safe and respectful living environment for all volunteers and residents, and we encourage everyone to be mindful of shared spaces and the belongings of others.

Some volunteer rooms or hostels may have access to safes or secure storage facilities. If you have valuable items, important documents, or anything you would like to store more securely, please speak to a member of staff, who will be happy to advise on the options available at your hostel.

As storage arrangements can vary between properties and space may be limited in some locations, staff will also be able to provide guidance on the best way to store your belongings during your stay. We recommend that volunteers avoid bringing unnecessary valuables where possible and ensure personal items are kept secure at all times.
