Can I take holidays during a long-term volunteering placement?

As LHA volunteering is strictly volunteering rather than employment, there is no formal holiday entitlement.

However, we understand that volunteers may occasionally wish to travel, visit family, attend important events, or take some personal time away. If this is the case, please refer to the question "What happens if I am unwell or need some time away from volunteering?" and speak to the hostel team as early as possible so that options can be discussed.
