I have been offered sponsorship with LHA. Does sponsorship mean I am employed?
No. Although the name “Charity Worker visa” can understandably sound confusing, individuals sponsored by LHA under this route still hold volunteer status, just like all other LHA volunteers.
LHA offers strictly volunteering opportunities, not voluntary work or employment. This means volunteers do not receive wages and there is no employment contract in place. Accommodation and other support provided are solely to support volunteers in carrying out their volunteering duties and in line with our charitable mission.
