What happens if I don't enjoy the role after starting?

We encourage volunteers to speak openly with a member of staff if they are finding aspects of their role challenging or if the role is not what they expected.

Where possible, we will always try to understand the concerns and explore potential solutions. Depending on the circumstances, this may involve providing additional support, adjusting certain duties, or helping you better understand the role expectations.

If a different role may be more suitable and opportunities are available, we can discuss the options with you. In some cases, volunteers may be asked to submit a new application if they wish to be considered for a different role or hostel.

Our goal is always to help volunteers have a positive experience wherever possible.
