What happens if my visa is refused?

Unfortunately, the outcome of a visa application is entirely outside of LHA’s control, and there is often very little we can do if an application is refused.

In some limited circumstances, and subject to availability, we may be able to consider issuing another Certificate of Sponsorship. However, applicants should be aware that where a visa has already been refused once, a new application may also be refused, as we have seen in some previous cases.

For this reason, we strongly encourage all applicants to carefully review the visa requirements, ensure all information and supporting documents are accurate, and prepare thoroughly for any potential visa interviews. Applicants should be able to clearly explain their motivation for wanting to join LHA, demonstrate an understanding of our charity and volunteering programme, and confidently discuss the purpose of their stay in the UK.
